      Patrick T. Harker - Presiden, University of Delaware

Dr. Harker brought with him vision, energy, and passion when he came to the University of Delaware from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, and the results at UD are extraordinarily evident!  An aggressive strategic planning process, called Path to Prominence, lead to identification of five strategic milestones.  While each of these milestones could be the topic for his presentation, several of the initiatives are most relevant to the mission of the Committee of 100 -- promoting responsible economic development.  You will hear President Harker speak about the achievements to date and the future plans for the Delaware Health Sciences Alliance & Biomedical Infrastructure, Energy & Environmental Research, Economic Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and Capital Projects & Campus Development. 

Harker is stirring the students, faculty & administration, and the surrounding community to believe that truly noteworthy growth is going to happen at the University of Delaware.
