ROBERT J. CHRISTIAN
Senior Vice President & Chief Investment Officer
Wilmington Trust Company

Our computers are all Y2K compliant and we expect to breeze into the new millennium. Ok, some of us have a little extra cash in our pocket, a few extra bottles of water in the basement, and some extra batteries in the drawer. Many of us are definitely not flying on the first. But most of us are giving more attention to the way we'll bring in the new millennium (and the increasing cost of champagne) than to the possible glitches in our technological world.

When we hear the words, "Are you prepared for the New Millennium?" we note that they are often uttered in a Blair Witch sort of way and we dismiss the accompanying foreboding or forecasts of chaos.

But listen again. Are you prepared for the New Millennium? The possibilities of the New Millennium? The financial possibilities of the New Millennium? It might be time to take a different view of Y2K.

Robert J. Christian, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Wilmington Trust Company, will speak on the topic, "Y2K? Why Not? The Outlook for the Economy and Investing in 2000 and Beyond." Bob will not only speak on broad issues such as inflation and economic growth, but also, on specific economic and investment issues, including which stocks might perform best. Bob and his group have investment responsibility for about $25 billion. He will tell us what Wilmington Trust has done and is doing to assure that Y2K is a yawner.

Bob has over 24 years of experience in the financial and investment industries, serving as an Economist, Director of Investment Strategy, Director of Economic Research, and Chief Investment Officer.
